AKRON CHILDREN’S MUSEUM HOSTS 4TH ANNUAL HANDS-ON HOLIDAYS
Akron, OH. Nov. 21, 2019 – Do you want to build a snowman? How about meet Elsa and Anna? Join us
December 8, 2019 at the museum as ACM’s Hands-on Holidays event returns for the whole family!
From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., children will have the opportunity to fill up their passport as they visit and interact at
multiple holiday craft stations. Some of the stations will include cookie designing , building fun Home Depot
kits, participating in the “paint your own snowman” workshop, enjoying a live DJ, engaging in interactive play
sessions, taking photos with Elsa and Anna, visiting with Santa and much more!
There’s fun for adults as well, who can sign up for the holiday canvas painting experience, participate in a
community service project, and pick up items in the Monster Shop for the holidays! Families will also have a
chance to purchase raffle tickets to win a giant climbing wall just in time for the holidays. Winners of the Step2
Skwyard Summit will be announced at the event.
The Akron Children’s Museum will also be holding a Bags of Love Drive at this event. All new socks, stuffed
animals, journals, coloring books, pens, small crafts, nail polish, lip balm, crayons, collected will be given to
children at Akron Children’s Hospital through the Kylie Rose organization in Summit County.
“ACM’s goal is to be the community’s go-to place for fun, learning, exploration, and memory-making,” said
Traci Buckner, Executive Director of the Children’s Museum. “We welcome volunteers who want to be part of
